Cornas Reynard (R) Syrah

Dusty on the outside but pristine on the inside. I’ve tasted this a handful of times over the last 15 years and it’s developing at a glacier-like pace. Still bright in colour and long and structured with red and blue fruits foiled by herbs and some stemmy notes. Classic Allemand and my favourite of the ‘90s along with ‘94 & ‘99 - 1995

Conversely, I could drink this all day. Night and day from the Ooka. In such a good place.

Reynard next to Chaillot makes for a lovely pair. Both still fresh, with bright colours and great purity - 2000

First taste of this in a decade and whilst still acidic this has mellowed and softened beautifully - 1997

One of my all time faves and this did not disappoint. Floral, great fruit, just thick and savory enough. I wish it never ended.
