Extreme discount wine at a random store in the CA foothills. Also 10 years old. Looks decent in the glass. Edge of brownish rust. Smells funky. Bit of old book with the cherry-berry sauce. Flavors are pretty elegant. Dusty cherry. Hint of tomato. Or maybe tobacco leaf. This is pretty good stuff. Well worth the $4-5 it was selling for. Certainly beats the pants off most cheap Cab plonk you get with a California AVA. Hopefully their ‘Tradition’ will continue.
