La Mourziere Les Coteaux de Sierre Fendant 2017

Notes if vanilla, leafy greens and cooked green apples on the nose, with hints of dried mango and a little bit of creme brûlée deep in the fragrance. Leggy, with a medium body and a pale yellow/green color it’s my first experience with Fendant and it’s impressive! The palate is silky and slightly vegetal, with notes of cinnamon apple sauce, maybe fresh leeks even, with a long dry finish with hints of creamy ricotta that pairs beautifully with a sausage, peppers, potato, onion and egg scramble! It’s not a seafood white really, it’s more fit for a veggies, eggs and chicken Alfredo wine. — 7 days ago

The kind of Chasselas I love — with heavy minerality, almost sparkling. — 4 months ago

A great reminder that I should drink more Swiss wine. Tart citrus, marzipan, chiseled rocks — a year ago

L'Alpage Fendant

Clean pear nose.
Quaffably pleasant.
Enough acid to pair with light fare.
Can be enjoyed on its own too.
