Gorgeous nose of sweet wood, bittersweet cocoa, tobacco, spices and striking loamy minerality. This wine goes to 11 on the nose with air but compared to the 16 it is more aromatically exciting on the pop and pour. Palate is rich and ripe with deep cassis and berry fruit but also terrific energy and minerality. A gorgeous mid palate plumpness as well. Really nice and long finish. Such amazing energy and with the requisite ripeness of 18 it still has stunning freshness and energy. Now after some coaxing the air has really opened tbis nose with glorious ethereal spices and sweet tobacco. — 8 days ago

Unique in that Sylvain Pataille only uses his best grapes in this Rose. I was lucky enough to get a couple of bottles. Shared with Matt and Paul. Stunning bottle. Tart red berries, forest floor, a little tannic. Changed in the glass as it got air, revealing more layers and subtle nuances. — 24 days ago

A distinct shade of medium old gold with with persistent little bubbles. The nose is resplendent with apples of the green variety. An abundance of citrus scents along with yeast and a touch of nuttiness. Just a bit of smeared honey aromas goes a long way here.

Biodynamic and beautiful. Zero dosage and aged for six years, the strength here is balance and purity. Terroir driven and electric, this is an incisive and focused champagne. Composed of 85/15 Pinot Noir/Chardonnay and wonderfully dry. Lemons and dried herbs on the palate along with cherries and apples. Long and dry and lovely. — 2 months ago

The 21’s here are masterful. Nose of late season black cherries, late season red cherries, earth, mineral and more. Blueberry and blackberry as well. So deep and expressive. That’s 21! Palate is teeming with energy and juiciness. Sour and red cherries and glorious silky tannins and lovely sweetness. Long and flowy. Needs time but just spectacular. So much finesse now and the fruit is all red now. — 2 months ago
