Pattes Loup (Thomas Pico)

Vent d'Ange Chablis Chardonnay 2020

Very muted in the nose… hardly anything at first, fresh saltiness, barely a hint of green apple & lemon peel. And yet, fresh & enticing.
And then, on the palate this sings! Simply beautiful! With a touch of roundness & creaminess on the palate but also vibrant acidity, salinity, stony minerality. Ripe yellow apple & lemon. Vibrant, juicy and quite complex. Great depth & length.
A benchmark for Chablis & delish!

I keep seeing this producer posted on here a lot but I must confess I had never heard of it while I was still living back home. Now I want to discover it 😊 thank you for sharing!

Dundee Hills Pinot Noir 2013

in line with the other reviews. An exceptional wine maker, doing everything from planting to pruning to winemaking. Very small production. Opened the bottle about an hour before consuming every last drop. Quite delicious. An exceptional example of Oregon Pinot Noir. — 3 months ago

Thomas Road Vineyard Pinot Noir 2018

Reminded me more of a Willamette Pinot than a traditional Russian River Valley. More earth tones then berry, lighter color but still a high alcohol level. Definitely having again. — 4 months ago

Cresta Ridge Vineyard Pinot Noir 2016

Excellent masculine Pinot Noir that reminds me of a Gevrey-Chambertin. And it is reasonably priced. A great value at $31. This is a Pinot Noir for steak or lamb, not pizza, but I drank it with pizza and still enjoyed it. — 4 months ago

This wine was very impressive for its age, was really showing off burg like. — a month ago

Thomas Haag Trocken Riesling 2019

My last bottle of this and truly wish I had another case. Cheese rind and rich stone fruit. No slowing down for this beauty of a value at $19 on the shelf. Would kill to try another bottle in 2, 3, 5, and 7 years! — 3 months ago

Estate Grown Damiana Vineyard Chardonnay 2020

Wow what a nice surprise for a Santa Cruz Mtn Chardonnay. Ripe stone fruits and secondary tropical notes. Soft, limestone like texture but definitely not grown anywhere near limestone!
Soft-round acidity.
Hilltop estate vineyard looking over Stanford and Silcon Valley planted in 1978.
As much as I like it's trying to punch above it's weight at a $85 retail
