This was great! Lovely gold color. Complex with minerality, melons, stone fruit, and subtle butter/oak. Big, deep wine! — 16 days ago

Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 2020

Had a hard time with this one. Have had it before and it was excellent, but this bottle / vintage was a bit too strong for a pinot. was expecting more fruit. Could be the food pairing so will try with another bottle. — a month ago

Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

A taut puzzle to start. Better once decanted and given 30-45 minutes to open. Once through that rectification (it was yesterday’s word of the day) this baby was quite the ride. Beautifully fragrant and inviting. Not deeply dark in color but still richly deep purple. The fruit is layered and comes in waves. Dark fruit, blueberries lingering finish. I expected this to be a very good CA Cab. I was wrong this was special. Lots of resonating impulses here. Loved this. It was great. — 4 months ago

Dry Areni Wine 2018

Quite smooth with a peppery bite and a good bit of herbal punch—sage, bay, mint, remaining earthy with soft fine tannins and a most pleasant aftertaste. — 2 months ago

Lovely dark gold color. Needed about 20 minutes to open up. Would have benefited from a decant. Super rich, deep Chard. Really good and a lot of life left! — 3 months ago
