Nose is so inviting as this is always open when young. Lemon curd, custard, cantaloupe, hint of fine honey, and huge herbs. Like a hug of dry riesling. Really complex. Wow that palate is a smoke show with that crushed rock minerality and almost no fruit. Superb energy and some melon and citrus fruit with outrageous complexity and man is this dry and almost tannic on the finish. So juicy and complex. Nose gains more with air with lovely herbals and unreal depth. A great vintage for this. Super spicey on the palate and finish. Really balanced and well made. — 2 hours ago
Wow. None made in 22 but 23 is back and it is back with a bang. Unreal complex nose with insane purity and lemon curd, herbals, crushed slate, lime blossom, wild mint, dust, but like the best dust ever, maybe fresh woodworking dust? Under that is apricot and some type of orange berry. But the story is the palate. Unreal finesse and complexity that is utterly off the charts. Where are these charts anyway? Who makes these charts? So concentrated and so mineral and all wrapped in silk. This is insane. White flowers on the nose now and omg shit is so so in your face awesome. Tangy like nothing else and so so long. Huge huge wine but so elegant and serene. As bad as it gets. — 2 hours ago
I love this bottling. Nose has that crushed rock minerality and vulcanized rubber. Herbs, apricots and kumquats. It has that small citrus and stone fruit thing going on. Wow that is concentrated and has insane off the wall minerality but it’s so round and juicy and caressing. This is so elegant and so refined and has such grace and class. A big step up from Grafeneberg in refinement and complexity. Palate has so much lime zest, lime blossom and lime flower. Zesty with tremendous acids and finishes very very mineral. Cut from a diamond style Riesling. Wow. So so impressive. — 41 minutes ago
Wow that nose penetrates. Deep honey, minerals and lime blossoms. Lime zest as well. Green apple and pear and such depth to the nose. Gorgeous. 9.7 nose. Haunting. Has that extra that serves this up into the stratosphere. Wow this is unreal. Elegant with crushed rock minerality, green apple, pear and some citrus fruit but has this zen serene quality to it that is to die for. Just brilliant. So pure and balanced. Unreal amplitude on the palate and so zesty. A perfect orb of wehlener sonnenuhr. Finish is an elegant and dissipated so beautifully. Utterly classic but lifted by an extra profundity. — an hour ago
Nose is so classic. Huge minerals and rocks. Almost no fruit. Maybe a hint of lime blossom. Really earthy as well. This smells like it was grown in dirt. Lemon. Some pink grapefruit pith. Palate is silky and so dry and focused on minerals and barely any fruit. Elegant and juicy with insane precision. Really high acid and just a driving mineral force and really long. So so good. This is one of the most essential Steinmetz wines. — 2 hours ago
Nose is classic GB. Richness, melon, slate, matchstick, creamed corn (garmanbozia!) custard, herbals, cantaloupe, dusty tree bark, spices and more. Palate is so intense and so concentrated with pulverized rock minerality and it’s so refined, so elegant and so pure. Huge lemon lime fruit and even some sweet green apple and dehydrated green apple skins. Impossibly complex and just that pulverized rock minerality. Unreal density without weight and such power and grace. Crazy acids and such breath on the fanned out finish. Young but such a stunner. Wow. So intense. One of, if not the best, GB. — 2 hours ago
Always the fruitiest of Stefan’s Kabis and this has honey, apricot and peach aromas and wonderful effusive minerality that is layered and 4 dimensional. Herbal and slatey. Gorgeous. Super stoney and mineral palate with unreal honey, peach and apricot fruit but still comes across as sternly mineral and dry tasting on the finish. So complex and elegant and that insane crushed rock minerality and so pure. This is like from a mountain stream that produces riesling. Now with air there is vulcanized rubber and so much mineral. The fruitiness is there but the minerals are coming on strong. Awesome acidity, freshness and so much tension. A great Grafenberg. — an hour ago
Nose is so classic. Huge minerals and a dash of honey, melon, wild mint, apricot and peach. Unreal crushed rock minerality. Huge herbals and smells like the best garden ever. Oh wow what a palate. So caressing and engaging with warm hug acidity and that pulverized rock minerality, honey, peaches and awesome purity, energy and balance. So clean and so utterly classic. Stunning. Lovely honeyed element on the finish. — an hour ago
@Delectable Wine this is called Dhroner Hofberg “Rondel” - Thanks!
Nose is deep and layered with green tea, herbs, lemon flesh, and some white cherries and even red currants. So unique. Very open and inviting. Piquant almost and has that wonderful combo of openness and intense narrow minerals that only dry German Riesling can get. Wow, juicy and with so much fruit! Lemon patty here and also passion fruit and cantaloupe and gorgeous sweet minerals but this is bone dry. Juicy and so engaging and wonderful length. Really good wine that is a level below GG but such a nice intro into the style of Stefan’s more serious wines. — 2 hours ago

Nose starts out so quiet. Some light peach and minerality. Now it’s opening and we are getting some nice peach juice, vulcanized rubber, minerals and some confectionary notes. A deep honey note now and also some intense minerals. Smells round. Smells so pure and so fresh. Wow great acids and freshness. Man this is awesome! Impossibly complex and so much honey, peach, lime and driving mineral force. Unreal intensity and a step above the other two Piesport Kabi’s in 2023. The finish is so so salty and endless. This is super elite. Unreal complexity and intensity and what a finish that never ends. This also has excessive crushed rock minerality. Wow. Insane!!! — 34 minutes ago
