Swear your House allegiance by taking our quiz and then take a look below for some House-based pairing suggestions from Coravin and Delectable. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese (for Wild Boar/Baratheons) Settle in for the long, dark night with a bowl of ragu made from wild boar - the animal that started it all by killing King Robert and leaving Joffrey in charge of the Seven Kingdoms. This full bodied and intense red is indulgent like King Robert and will pair perfectly with the nutty and sweet taste of the wild boar. Coravin recommends: 2009 Casanova di Neri Brunello di Montalcino Siangiovese Crozes-Hermitage Syrah (for Dragons/Targaryens) This earthy, smoked-meaty, peppery wine is exactly the type of wine a dragon or Targaryen would want to drink. Coravin recommends: 2012 Alain Graillot Crozes-Hermitage Syrah Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (for Golden Crowns/Lannister) Gold was predicted for Cersei’s kids - crowns or shrouds? Either way, this wine is the perfect golden color that will have you feeling like you’re in King’s Landing. Coravin recommends: 2016 La Crema Sonoma Coast Chardonnay Jura Savagnin (for Spirit/Mormonts) Despite her age and small size, Lyanna Mormont solidifies herself as one of the North’s strongest, and a Savagnin from France's smallest region can hold its ground just as well. Delectable recommends: 2012 Domaine de la Tournelle Fleur de Savagnin Provence Rosé (for Trout/Tullys) House Tully has strong roots in the Riverlands, and what better wine to pair with the House’s sigil of a trout than a rosé from Provence. Delectable recommends: 2017 Domaines Ott Château de Selle Côtes de Provence Rosé Austrian Blaufränkisch (for Roses/Tyrells) Roses are known for the deceiving beauty hiding their prickly thorns, a House symbol that aptly illustrates the Tyrells’ sneaky disposition. We'd suggest an Austrian Blaufränkisch, a wine that has also started to sneakily make its way to the top in recent years. Delectable recommends: 2016 Gut Oggau Atanasius Joschuari and Bertholdi Rot Zweigelt Blaufränkisch Red Bordeaux (for Direwolves/Starks) There may be nothing better fitting than a generational Bordeaux to represent the Starks’ direwolves, who are known to be fierce creatures with strong loyalties to their pack and family. Delectable recommends: 2014 Lynch-Bages Madeira Terrantez (for Iron Islands/Greyjoys) From one island to another, even if Madeira may have a more tolerant climate than the rocky and windy weather of the Iron Islands. At the very least, the Iron Islanders can dream of sunny skies as they sip on this fortified wine. Delectable recommends: 1977 D'Oliveiras Madeira Terrantez Be sure to download the Coravin Moments App , powered by Delectable, to discover wines that pair with music, movies, and more!

Sonoma Coast Chardonnay 2016

Subtle aromas of tropical fruits. Wonderful hints of green apple and butter. My wife’s favorite Chardonnay. — 5 years ago

D'Oliveiras

Vintage Madeira Terrantez 1977

Salinity, maple, cashew butter and cinnamon. Actually quite dry. This makes knees buckle. I cannot explain the perfection that was the pairing with house made pb&j doughnuts w peanut brittle. Absurdly good!!! — 7 years ago

Gut Oggau

Atanasius, Joschuari and Bertholdi Rot Zweigelt Blaufränkisch 2016

Really amazing for a tough year. Feels like carbonic (though actually not?) Zesty, fruity, but seems to oxidize quickly. — 6 years ago

Alain Graillot

Crozes-Hermitage Syrah 2009

My favorite producer of Crozes Hermitage. Deep dark color with black cherry, creosote, iron, game bird, garrique very complex, spicy, black pepper on the finish. Need to buy more of this vintage. — 9 years ago

Casanova di Neri

Tenuta Nuova Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2009

Lyle Coffield
9.4

Every once in a while, even a blind pig finds an acorn... Or in this case a taste of Casanova. The difference between Brunello and BRUNELLO is intensity and concentration. Drinking both is a study in terroir. The herbaceous liquoriceyness of the region (you like that word?) is amplified in the best producers. Nice! — 9 years ago

Bought a case of the '10 last week. Probably won't be able to drink it for 7-10 years. But the '09 is probably a lot more accessible.

Yep. 100 points can't be bad on the '10... '09 only available in .375's... Unless... you... have a supply in your warehouse at wholesale?

I'm pretty sure we're going to be coerced into buying lots of '09 to get more of the '10. Will let you know. I have 375's of the '09 white label for less than $20
