The North Slope Vineyard Pinot Noir 2021

Delectable Wine
9.2

The 2021 Pinot Noir The North Slope Vineyard is a heady, explosive Russian River Pinot. A burst of dark red/purplish berry fruit opens first, followed by sweet floral and spice notes that build effortlessly. This exuberant Pinot is an absolute delight. The North Slope has a touch more savoriness than is the norm in these wines. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, July 2023)

Zio Tony Ranch Chardonnay 2020

Delectable Wine
9.2

The 2020 Chardonnay Zio Tony Ranch is a very pretty, exotic wine. Tangerine oil, passionfruit, dried flowers, mint, almond and chamomile give the Zio Tony a tropical profile that is so attractive. In this vintage, the Zio Tony is a bit lighter in body than it can be, but that is not a bad thing. All the elements are very well balanced throughout. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, July 2023)

Jackass Vineyard Zinfandel 2021

Delectable Wine
9.3

The 2021 Zinfandel Jackass Vineyard is laced with dark red/black fruit, leather, licorice, dried herbs and spice. It is an especially savory Zinfandel with plenty of complexity, but perhaps a bit less overt fruit than most of the other Zinfandel bottlings. This is such a distinctive wine. Cuvée Alyce Pinot Noir 2021

Delectable Wine
9.5

The 2021 Pinot Noir Cuvée Alyce is another gorgeous wine in this range. It offers a compelling balance of fruit intensity and energy. Sweet red cherry, blood orange, mint, rose petal and cinnamon all soar out of the glass. High-toned aromatics and bright acids lend vibrancy throughout. The 2021 is a bit shy today, but it has so much to offer. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, July 2023)

Le Caprice Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2021

Delectable Wine
9.6

The 2021 Pinot Noir Le Caprice, from the steepest blocks on the property, is fresh and vibrant from start to finish. Crushed rocks, rose petal, mint, lavender and dried herbs all race across the palate. This brilliant, chiseled Pinot is terrific. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, July 2023)

"Giuseppe & Luisa" Russian River Valley Zinfandel 2021

Delectable Wine
9.2

The 2021 Zinfandel Giuseppe & Luisa is a vibrant, super-expressive wine. Sweet red cherry, mint, chalk, white flowers and white pepper bring out the higher-toned side of Zinfandel. Medium in body and racy, the Giuseppe & Luisa is a real charmer. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, July 2023)

Radio-Coteau

Savoy Vineyard Pinot Noir 2021

Delectable Wine
9.5

The 2021 Pinot Noir Savoy from Cliff Lede's Anderson Valley estate, is a dark, surprisingly brooding wine. Black cherry, plum, licorice, mocha, incense and dried flowers are all amplified. Large scaled and ample, the Savoy is a bit surprising for its intensity, yet all the elements are so well balanced. Low yields in 2021 contribute to the wine's richness. Belle Côte Chardonnay 2021

Delectable Wine
9.7

The 2021 Chardonnay Belle Côte is a wine of tremendous density and power. Orchard fruit, dried pear, graphite, anise and dried flowers infuse the 2021 with tremendous flavor complexity. Readers will find an intensely mineral, savory Chardonnay with the fruit pushed into the background. Belle Côte is the original Chardonnay planting at Peter Michael. BLOODROOT SONOMA COUNTY PINOT NOIR 2021

Delectable Wine
9.0

The 2021 Pinot Noir (Sonoma County) is bright, punchy and absolutely delicious. Crushed red berry fruit, cedar, sweet pipe tobacco, mint and leather flesh out. Supple and racy, with no hard edges, the 2021 is a total delight. The Sonoma County is a blend of 15 vineyards, with much of the fruit coming from declassified Reeve lots.
