Renieri Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese

2012 Vintage In search of the one wine so complete and perfect that it makes me cry. This one came close. Wonderful nose with floral and dark red fruit notes. Dark chocolate and tobacco with Old World rustic earthy flavors. Smooth finish that continues the balancing act from the nose and throughout the palette. Suckling rated it 94pts and I heartily agree

Delicate but full body, baked cherry, hazelnut & cigar

A big BdM! Dark fruit (berry and prune). Well balanced with good structure and a lovely finish. 94 pt - purchased as much as you can at this price point.

Supple, elegant and fresh. Black cherry and cut cedar fill the nose and glass. Cola, black currant and fluid red fruits. Well balanced with a lingering aftertaste.

Big fan of this wine. Beautiful bouquet of earth, black berries, and cedar. Very nicely balanced, with sweet black cherry, tar, and moderate tannins. Long finish. This should hold for another 10 years, but seems to be in a sweet spot right now. A great option while waiting for your 2010's to mature.

A pleasant surprise! Full-bodied, well/structured Brunello that blossomed after taking a couple of breaths.

Wonderful Brunello. Very dense , dark fruit, chocolate flavor. Must air! $44.99 at Total Wine.
