Signature Donn Chappellet Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

19' Signature Cab. 77%% Cab Sauv, 12% Petit Verdot, 8% Malbec, 3% Merlot., Blackberry, cassis, much darker fruit than Las Piedras. Oak - vanilla coconut, coffee, mocha, chocolate. Mint, leather, game. All the lush darker fruits went tarter and more red on the palate. Red and purple flowers too. Elevated acidity, high levels of tight but not grippy tannins. Long bright finish. First commercial release was 1969. First made in 1968.

Notes of cherry, raspberry, leather, and tobacco. Very delicate and not too heavy. Definitely opens up a lot over time and good for dinner.

Better than I had expected. Slightly dry and full. Has notes of dark fruits and black cherry.

Very drinkable, dry not high tannin. With Larry Dunham. Capital grill

Earthy oak and leather over blackberry and pepper. Bold, dark, and big.

Kind of underwhelming for the price. Reasonably balanced with fruit and earth tones. Maybe a bit corked?

Delicious with almost no bottle aging. Great stone fruit. Order more for the cellar.
