Quite a bit of fraicheur and finesse in what was a warm year. Drinking beautifully with a long burn. Excellent.

Killing babies. I believe it needs at least 10-15 years, to say the least

There is an indescribable finesse to the structure of this wine. Satiny red berry. Crushed rock and earth after a rain. Definitely needs serious time for the tannin to fully integrate, but this wine is gorgeous.

Sweet & sour cherries, strawberries, dry cranberries and spice on the nose. Almost Burgundian. Blackberries, blueberries, spice, wood, tobacco, leather and purple flowers. Long finish. Even better in ten years!!!

11 was in my top 3 of 13 vintages from 1967 on, for the night Of the younger wines it was the first to show balance between oak & grape tannin with more restrained use of oak. Had searingly good acid & a great core of fruit. If Gaja maintain this direction for future evolutions, it will be a good thing! Yes, it's got the legs! Would you find better value elsewhere? Quite possibly.
