Fairly mellow overall. Toasted oak, slight floral notes, citrus peel. In the background, a little toasted almond, toffee, and caramel. Moderate finish length. Somewhat boring actually, no strong sense of identity in my opinion but perhaps a good introduction to single malt whisky for the feint hearted.

Must brighter and elegant compared to the Old Parr. Fruit-driven, honey, gentle spices, a sort of "steeley" finish. Not bad at all... Not bad at all.
