28 years old and still as fresh and lovely as ever. This wine is still a baby.

Has much more fruit on the nose & palate than the 78. Also some eucalyptus, thyme aromas. Again a very strong, but beautifully integrated acid which carry the wine into a medium+ final. Lots of structure left, can age for twenty more years.

Red fruit, fresh, dried herbs. Beautiful length with nice maturity, still quite vivacious. Kinda kicked the 890s butt

Hands down wine of the night as far as the actual tasting. Beautiful beautiful wine and it was great to have it side by side with the 2005. The traditional style was far more elegant than the younger, modernized wine.

No typical Rioja style, parfum of south american cabernet, gum tree nose.
