Snagged this Sonoma North Coast 2014 fine thing at my local shop, in Morehead City, NC. Did same with a Jersey Mike's turkey sub sporting everything but for pickles. As corporate as that might read, I nonetheless suggest you do same - or something similar thereto. Most know how groovy Pinot Noir is with turkey, so, whether you have access to a crazy cool loaf of northern Cali sour dough and a fresh turkey from the wild or you are doing a JM #7, like me on another coast, this maroon draped fineness will likely turn your head, tilt the bottle, and pour over and over as you work your way through a full-benefit sandwich drenched by this gorgeous liquid lady bathed in boysenberry, cherry and blueberry that has snuggled with seemingly new but proper oak wrapped in Merlin's seaborne magic mist lending the upper oceanside forest's wet, wild spice exaggerated with each spin and spill that clings and lingers righteously reckoning with Quicksilver's vintage plea - " have another hit..."

Crazy good right-time-of-the-year-for-no-wood French Chardonnay, herbal and melon from nose to finish showing plenty of acid/tannic softly clinging depth front to back (even without wood), hints of some cantaloupe towards the end and a tinge of fresh raw celery throughout the drink. This wine was brilliantly paired with a groovy tart greens-based salad, at my buddy, Geoph Adams', waterfront Black Sheep, in Beaufort, NC. Don't miss his magic moment when hanging or passing through NC's middle cape, which is Lookout (Beaufort being lazy, crazy, cool). Another brilliant wine by Eric and Laure's Queen of Wines (boutique importing and distribution bringing the passion of France straight into NC) so cool!!! — 3 hours ago — 7 years ago
Low $, low alcohol, crazy good - take a swig👣🕶🍷
She’s a country sort casual, cool, in a simplistic seductive red dress showing voluptuous skin draped and contrasted in a purple sarong-like shawl clinging to her shoulders and rim, earthen, perhaps a tinge of wood maybe leather surely more than lace, somewhat feral playing around swirling, twirling ”dazzling dancing half enchanted,” I pull her close, breathing in her deep essence, I spin her left then right taking her close to the edge as she spills over wetting my lips into my mouth drifting slowly clinging unctuous and warm, she takes her time, deeper, as an errant drop drips from the corner of my mouth her ruby round essence slides down my pectoral finding linen, landing marking the moment - the music changes and I am reminded to take another hit, blue and red berries - musky blueberry and cherry. We dance all night. I get her name, her number and take her home ... “ohhhh what a niiight...” (vintage Dells and this sexy rough around the edges fine thing) hanging @ the Beau paddle dock on Taylor’s Creek during this the Season of The Witch - drink up and enjoy✌🏽💙💚☀️🌊👣🕶🍂🎃🎼🍷🌀 — 6 years ago
Cooler when colder, on a hot day in a hot place, which is what is happening in VA Bch today, at Catch 31, where I am eating some naked broc and light poke while sipping, swirling and considering this lightly dressed dancer bathed in clean rain and dressed in pale greens dangling green beans baptized in a mineral-rich pond begging plunder softened with sweet kisses dripping honey dew, with the evening closing in... — 7 years ago
She wears more burgundy than many similar others' deep purple lightly draped fittingly fine on a summer's night, swirling left then right sensually fresh, slightly bright bathed soft, light intriguingly interesting in a way that begs for play, so I twist and twirl, then pull her in close where clean minerality and wispy floral accents lead me to a first taste that gains intensity as she reaches more deeply she shows texture, ever so lightly layered she clings, holds acid leading tannins layers of light spice and violet lacing, mostly black, some blue, but only a distant hue and cue of a cherry, more spin, a fine dance, but at 12.5 % I do her again - "hot fun in the summertime..." cool-climate stalks present, teetering tottering but well balanced with the firm tannins and acidity - in search of the cherry in a blackberry patch - give'r a try. cause she sure can dance... santè — 7 years ago
Road trips deserve respites. Beaufort, SC’s Old Bull Tavern spinning Marvin, Jimmi, and Stevie while casually offering up perfect garlicky oil bathed snails set upon crazy freshly baked chewy sour dough simply screams for, oh yeah, the wine. This fine Pomerol waits, wanting , her dangerously dark scarlet skin shimmers as she spins in the early evening tempted by the tunes revealing her marooning shades, darker bleeding berries, showing lighter in the wafting inconsistency of candle light. Another spin , a tilt, a voyeur’s gaze, a twirl, and a first kiss’ earthy wet spice on the front succumbs to plum its well-balanced acid clutches begging another spin, The I sip slow seductive deep kiss as she floods forward - I swallow, but she clings slowly, gradually, teetering touching sliding slowly, stealthy, soothingly, seductively signaling - have another hit... Don’t miss this wine or place, both picture perfect dripping southern edge and charm with a French accent and kiss🍷🌀 — 7 years ago
Draped and shaded seductively maroon to burgundy sporting a deeper burgundy rim, spin her around you'll catch dampened earth, the last night's smoldering fire hits but mellows to spice interestingly accenting a hint of camomile, then back to the smoldering embers , a kiss goes to first blush blueberries and strawberries unctuously coating, clinging front to back, as tannins squeeze the acid and fruit just enough to slow the flow for a lazy decent into a skinny-dipping swim, swirl and, oh hell yes, another swig, which at a mere 12% I want to dance all night! Tomorrow, I'll snag a couple of cases of this seductive stuff, but for now, "a glass of red and the sunset..." — 7 years ago
A brilliantly adorned fine lady, draped, dressed casually yet spilling elegance where one might first be lured by her skin tones dripping burgundy and mysterious light-enhanced hues humorously then hauntingly holding insisting with her intoxicatingly spicy essence where each and every spin and twist insists that you pull her close embrace and taste each twirl each kiss each exchange deeper more sincere lasting dancing spinning gripping grabbing recklessly but gently casually slipping begging - do it again - whole lotta love - cheers🍷🌀🕶

Seems a bit wood deprived, but I get it. Perhaps all stainless prebottling maturation v. otherwise. Intriguingly subtle nose on first blush that develops with a few spins as it finds its place in the glass going post rain wet earth , grass and fungi hinting blueberry and black pepper. A nice acid balance and tannic presence allows for a nice coating from front to back that lingers post plunge leaving a juvenile blackberry aftermath encouraging another spin, hit and contemplation... PS good value, low alc,, and interesting characteristics✌🏽💙👣🕶🍷💚🌀 — 6 years ago
