On the nose: dark currants, stewed plums, boiled meat, herbaceous, pencil lead, eucalyptus, and mocha. Taste: velvety, smooth wine with some dried cherry, earth, graphite, smoked meat, and a dry mocha/cedar/dried herb medium finish. On the downside, but still drinkable at 20 years. — 2 days ago

Dark, moderately rich, brambly blackberry fruit mostly, very fresh and lively on palate, avoids the jammy, overripe notes that mar some Zins, seems quite youthful and capable of further development, my first Zin from Morgan T-P, very impressed!! The 2020 Cotes du Crow’s is a Grenache/Syrah-based blend with touches of Mourvèdre and Tempranillo that add complexity. Red cherry, tobacco and dried herb hints open nicely.
