R. López de Heredia

Viña Tondonia Reserva Rioja Tempranillo Blend 2011

Made the value pick at the steakhouse and it did not disappoint. Worked wonderfully with the zesty crab cakes and the medium Filet. Punchy fruit along solid tannins. Little bit of smoky kick and medium finish. Loved it. — a year ago

Château Pavie

Saint-Èmilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend 2005

2 hour decant(tons and tons of sediment). A remarkable dark garnet with little bricking. On the nose: showy perfumed nose of dark plum, clove, soy sauce, funky earth, sweet spice. Taste: smooth, mouthcoating, concentrated, rich wine with ripe plum, cassis, leather, bitter chocolate, and a long dry spicy earthy finish...ripe fruit and a seriously extracted style at 14.5% alc. — a year ago

Three Palms Vineyard Merlot 2016

Definitely new world, but with a gentle restraint. Crowd pleaser to suite newcomers to wine as well as more serious merlot lovers. Well worth the wait. — a year ago

Château Latour

Premier Grand Cru Classé Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 2001

Wow! Black currants, dark cherry, a bit of old leather and a touch of light oak. This is classic layered Latour/Bordeaux at its peak with soft tannins and a long finish. A beautiful bottle of wine… and the good news for me is that I have more! — a year ago
