Kindly #gifted and thoroughly enjoyed with our homemade pizza 🍕
Super easy drinking, not in your face, simply just pleasant and perfect for a Sunday night in. Juicy berries and cherries pretty much sum it up.
Yum! Loved it!

Typically brilliant #chianticlassico 85% #sangiovese 15% #merlot. Red / violet floral + woodsy nose, classic earthy-iron varietal aroma, bright acidity, soft tannins and a bit of roundness courtesy of the Merlot, some spice on the finish. Brilliant pairing with Chicken Paillard topped with blue cheese which brought out the spice in the wine, interestingly enough. — 3 months ago
Mushrooms vie with roses on an earthy canvas of ethereal red cherries and dried flowers. Violet and raspberry leaf to cherry on a grainy tannic tobacco and cedar with endless complexity. Outrageous Sangiovese!

The chameleonic nature of #sangiovese reveals itself here. This #puglia presents a savory character with blackberry, stewed plum, balsamic notes balanced against rosemary and Mediterranean herbs. Medium plus palate, racy acidity and delicate tannins on the finish. Brilliant food-friendly wine. — a year ago
Storied Sonoma producer. This 100% #sangiovese grown on #moonmountaindistrict shows the power of terroir. Aromas and palate drinks nothing like Tuscan Sangiovese but instead it drinks closer to Cabernet and Bordeaux blend from the same mountain AVA with punchy black/purple fruit on the nose; distinctive edgy tannins on the palate set against pronounced acidity. 11 years of bottle age is only just starting to soften the tannins a bit. Beautiful age-worthy red wine. — 3 months ago
Absolutely ridiculous QPR on this #brunellodimontalcino from Trader Joe’s. Overall impressions, so much verve on the fruit set off by classic earthy-softly-spicy #sangiovese character on the palate. Rich on mouthfeel framed with firm acidity and tannins. It’s so easy to pair this wine with beef, a nice Tuscan sausage pasta, mushroom ravioli - so many possibilities. — 8 months ago
Similar notes as from a few weeks ago - this time an hour after uncorking this #sangiovese presents Morello cherry, sous bois, but the Provençal spice notes are more muted this time. Cherry, cola nut, toffee notes on the palate featuring tongue-enveloping fine tannins on the finish. The first bottle may have been opened longer. Satisfying QPR here from a #costcowine — a year ago

Interesting, complex lighter-style #chianticlassico. Pretty much nonexistent red fruit up front on the nose, loads of mushroom instead, distant bramble fruit on the back. Hefty acidity up front on palate, distinctive #sangiovese iron notes, mushroom, leather and moderate plus tannins on finish. Great wine for mushroom pasta or a mushroom burger. — 3 months ago
