A deep garnet core with ruby edges in color.
The nose is classic crushed rose petals, sour cherry, minerality, spice, and sandalwood that hints of the barely noticeable presence of oak.
The palate follows the nose with the sour cherry, a touch of spice and a deeper notice of the oak treatment but it is well integrated. The real attention getter is that classic palate texture, refined and elegant but with the powerful structure and tannic backbone. As good as this is now, it should be a few levels better in 5 years, and easily go another 15-20. For now, decant and aerate for 2 hours or leave open in bottle for several hours.

Rich and powerful, the tannins are grippy, aromas of sour cherries and licorice. On the palate you really get the high alcohol from almost raisinated fruit.

Absolutely terrific 2006 Bric. Still powerful but graceful, as well as full of life and energy. Bright fruit, but all Nebbiolo character. Just great!
