Loved the earthiness and marine quality. Reminds me of a great Burgundy but you can't mistake the fruit for CA born and raised! Well done.

Intressant uttryck, inte speciellt burgundisk utan mer jordig och riktigt aromatisk. Runt 90% hela klasar, mycket lite fatinblandning. Bra struktur och potent utan att ha vare sig mycket frukt eller alkohol. Bär, kaffe, blöta löv, saltlakrits, eukalyptus. De hela klasarna har inte gett någon grön smak alls men väldigt mycket aromatiskt. Lite så att smaken inte är i samma höga nivå som doften. Gynnas massa av luft och tid.

I have had the '13 and '14, and both are outstanding. The rich complexity coupled with restrained elegance reminds me of a powerful Burgundy. Although there is unmistakable California fruit, the acidity, age-worthiness and subtlety of the wine is sublime. The green and herbal earthiness is well achieved to create an amazing crossover between classic burgundy and new world Pinot. Over time REAN can become a true great.
