Dry to the edge of bitter. Would be good with a sharp tasty dish, but alas I was drinking it without one. A hint of smoke - more the acrid than the woody kind. Maybe it needed to cellar to bring the smoothness forward? Not sure. But as a solo drinking effort, sans sharp old cheese, this one was a swing and a miss. — 4 years ago
Rich, full, lush. A great Xmas party wine for them what like flavour. Best when it is on sale- full price is a bit steep in my view. A lovely cab. — 4 years ago
Engaging flavours, in the “interesting” sense. A fall-like taste, flirting with an edge of bitterness. A thoughtful wine, less for quaffing perhaps than for pairing with pastas with an edgy flavour of some kind. Feta, olive, cilantro. A dry mystery that will appeal to some, and perhaps less to others. But on sale, definitely worth an adventure. This was a 2015, and my sense is that perhaps it has “lost” some of its fruit. You want that for a rich meal, but maybe not for some other occasions. — 4 years ago

2018 Smooth, rich, lush. Great value and lingering full-mouth finish. Hint of jammy berries on the taste and just a great warm climate red from there. Would buy it again and again in a heartbeat. — 4 years ago
