vintage 2016 | 80% nebbiolo, 15% vespolina, 5% croatina. Ten years old and fully alive and kicking. Brownish colour, tertiairy tones in smell. Very good balance, integrated tannines. I loved the bouquet: stinky in the positive way, spices, stewed fruit. A hint of manure. A Piëmonte nebbiolo that I like. Paired with a lasagne. — 2 months ago

Paolo Bea dinner at Semo. All wines were prepared by opening and slow-ox, prior to service. Abbreviated notes due to the setting. The 2017 Pipparello pours a garnet color with funky Montmorency cherry, red carnations, and balsamic notes. Wonderful structure and delicious with the quail. Drink now with patience through 2037. Tuscan Villa on the label. Looks opulent. Wine is a pretty color. Garnet. Aroma is rose hip tea, hibiscus drinks and damask rose. Flavors are nice. Floral and sensuous. Maybe a bit flinty. Fruit driven, but not sweet. Cherry pits. Hint of Russian black currant and cherry flavored tea. Nice cedar streak. Hint of fresh ground pepper corns. This has character. 半年ほど前に飲んだ個体に比べて、こっちの方が明らかにフレッシュで熟成感が少ない。
前回同様に、黄桃や枇杷のような黄色果実に、カモミール、ペトロール、ライムストーン、ホワイトペッパーなどの後に、岩清水、レモンなどの爽やかな清涼感と芯のある骨格。
