Many forest fires and ‘Heat Dome’ where temperatures reached 49 degrees Centigrade in the Okanagan Valley.
This wine is the first vintage of 100 % Syrah with no co-ferments.
Viognier and Roussane were harvested earlier.
Crunchy red fruits, pepper and spice. Perfumed and floral with lavender and earthiness.
Workers in the cellar at the winery joked that this is a Syrah for Pinot Noir lovers.

Grown in stony, sandy soils with high content of limestone.
Vines are between 13-32 years of age.
Straw yellow with pink highlights.
Dry but with fruity flavours of peach, melon and yellow flowers.
A bit spicy with a slight peach pit bitterness on the finish.
This wine also spends 9 months on its lees to give round mouth feel on the finish.

98 % Shiraz with 2 % Viognier.
Intense dark fruit, gentle spice, licorice, sweet black plums and a hint of black pepper on the finish.
Lovely, silky texture with well integrated tannins and beautifully balanced.
50 % whole berries, 20 % whole bunches, cold soaked then wild ferment in open tanks.
Aged 10 months on lees in French oak…20 % new.

Red cherry, strawberry, very floral with a touch of underbrush.
Velvety tannins with lively balanced acidity on the finish.

Medium bodied with ripe cherries, black tea, plums and green olives with a subtle earthiness and underbrush. Fresh, crisp zippy acidity on the finish from the Sangiovese.

Definitely showing its age of 12-13 years Black berries, eucalyptus, and crisp tannins..
Still ripe fruit, rich and round. Oak has integrated itself into the wine.
