Mother’s day lunch.
Not a vintage we like but this one is excellent. Dark rubi robe, no signs of aging. Nose of asphalt, cedar, anise and blackcurrant. Very elegant fruit tannin and a bit of wood tannin to shed still, would be better with less. An extracted wine done with lots of wood but balanced and elegant same time. We liked it a lot. Increased the score after the last couple of glasses we got around 8 hours later. — a month ago
Dark rubi robe with no signs of its age. A very complex and profound nose of dark cherries, flowers, blackcurrant and anise. In the mouth its ethereal and elegant, ready and will last some time still. Excellent second wine Lafleur, the greatest Pomerol there is. — 2 months ago
This was singing when we had it at an over rated and under delivering Cyril Lignac bistrot in Paris. Great stuff and the best thing we had there. — 13 days ago
Very dark rubi robe. Nose of blackcurrant, dark fruits, cedar and asian spices. Hard to have details, not a lot of info available. Modern styled but truly well done. Its an IGT so not traditional Chianti blend. But does seem to have a good dose of Sangiovese. Was excellent next day. We liked it a lot. — 2 months ago
Its mostly Gamay with some 20% or 25% of pinot. Very well done and is in good shape now to drink. Could do better with less oak we think. — 2 months ago
Very cool bottle of 1986 Lanessan: not complex but truly well done and ready to drink. — 3 months ago
Dark rubi robe, nose of dar fruits, anise, cedar and compote. Very elegant and balanced in the mouth, one cannot guess the octane here. Finishes well too, good now but most certainly better in 3 years. Truly excellent and oh such outstanding QPR. — a month ago
Medium dark rubi robe, nose of crushed flowers, anise and dark berries. Very reticent in the mouth and developed over time. Complex and elegant, lots of potential. Should decant a couple of hours if you intend to drink before 2030. — 2 months ago
Good medium dark rubi robe, nose very reticent with black fruits and a hint of flowers. Very classical in style and benefits from decanting. Cistercian register. We like it better than the new management after the sisters retired. — 2 months ago
Alexandre Pagliano
Light rubi color, light extraction, cherries and flowers on the nose. Really nice and elegant burg. — 10 days ago
