Rich in alcohol, unbalanced, highly extracted. Not our thing. — 12 days ago
Medium dark rubi robe, nose of roses, violets, dark cherries and some asian spices. Medium bodied with very good lenght, not the most complex but its a great burgundy at fairly reasonable price. Top notch and highly recommended for the QPR. — a month ago
We think something has changed at Montrose after the departure of Jean Bernard Delmas. Its not a bad wine by any means but the style is modern and extracted. At ten years this ie very drinkable and great quality but does not speak to its terroir as it used to. Hope its just one year… — 6 days ago
Light medium rubi robe, nose of reduction with a hint of cherries. It is still very closed from bottling and needs some time. Underlying material is very good. Curious to see how it will evolve. — 19 days ago
Medium dark rubi robe, nose of flowers and dark fruit, some anise. Very elegant in the mouth, good length, great finish. One of the finest producers of the north of burgundy and this is his most accessible wine. Great stuff. — 2 months ago
Very elegant and complex, truly well done: beautiful bottle too, like the old ones. Great wine. — 6 days ago
Excellent classical st Estephe, great value for money. — 12 days ago
This bottle was nothing like the prior ones. Lots of VA and alcohol that are prominent in the wine. — 20 days ago
In our favourite table in NY, an excellent Barolo that worked wonderfully with the food: Oddero is one of the best Baroli done in a classical way. — 2 months ago
Alexandre Pagliano
Medium rubi robe, nose of asian spices, flowers and a bit of dark cherries. Elegant tannins buried under good feuit and a silky texture. This got to be the best De Montille wine we got in a long while. — 4 days ago
