Dark rubi robe, nose of blackcurrant, cedar-wood, exotic spices. Very very merlot, ripe but not over, its a high octane wine that shows a bit of its 15 degrees on the finish. Not our favorite vintage but the wine is super well done and might benefit from a few more years on bottle. — 12 days ago
Medium dark rubi robe, violet on the rim. Nose of asian spices, crushed flowers and some dark cherries. Very elegant and long in the mouth, oh so good, this class class class. We loved it. Was first time we sipped a Chambolle Combottes in many years, pretty rare bottle. Le Moine does very classical wines that might warrant more pleasure if decanted when young. — 15 days ago
Dark rubi robe, nose of dark fruits, anise and crushed flowers. Medium to full bodied, spicy and rich in the mouth, good length, and ends on a fresh flowery note. Frankly great stuff. Excellent now but can be better in 3 to 5 years. — 19 days ago
Oh this was great. Very fine indeed and ready to drink but no rush. — 4 days ago
As Severn and lots of others said, cherries on the nose and on the mouth. Very well done and irresistible to drink now, but can get better with 3 to 5 more years in the cellar. Why not a higher score ? Lack’s complexity. There you go. — 10 days ago
Dark rubi robe, nose of dark fruits and stems, top soil. Very elegant in the mouth with dark berries, a hint of spices and a stemmy register that is probably… from stems. Good stuff in a mature style. We liked it a lot. — 18 days ago
Medium dark rubi robe, nose of dark cherries, spices and a hit of cloves and flowers. Oh so good in the mouth, medium bodied, complex, flowery and with some vanilla from the barriques. Fantastic. Roumier has gotten better over the years. — 4 days ago
Oh this is sooo good. Cherries, top soil and spices all along. Fine bottle with good length and an elegant finish. Punches above its weight. All Cathiard wines are now expensive in France having caught up with the US prices. A pity as the wines are top notch. — 13 days ago
Dark rubi robe, nose of asphalt, tobacco, cedar wood and a hint of blackcurrant. Very balanced and fresh in the mouth, complex, with a slight dry port note on the finish. Much better than the first bottle. Good stuff even if we prefer more classical vintages. — 17 days ago
Alexandre Pagliano
Dark rubi robe, nose of kirsch, flowers, mint and tangerine notes. Fine tannins, good acidity and balance, dense, garrigue and other spices notes. Its delicious now but should be much better in 5 years. This is great stuff for the price. — an hour ago
