This has matured gracefully. Still bright and fresh attack and becoming richer in mid palate and finish. Good length. New oak imprint is slightly more present than ideal. Not a blockbuster Les Clos, but a pleasure to drink. The Clos is located at the foot, or bottom, of Les Clos and is a Moreau family monopole. — a month ago
Nose on the light to medium side with plum, gravel, and fig. Black fruit and soil dominate the palate. Tannins mostly resolved at this stage. Finish is dry and falls off a bit quickly. Drink up, as this will not improve further.

Really a very nice Napa Cabernet from a great vineyard site in a good drinking place age wise. On cork pop the oak was too overbearing - that sort of oaky sweetness that I don’t care for. But decanted for a couple hours as a result and quite nice after that. Deep violet in the glass. Deep dark fruit notes. Unmistakably Napa, for sure. Some glycerin feel. But a long finish with just enough acid to keep it together. I don’t often drink Napa cab, but on a fall day with burgers it’s hard to complain. — 2 days ago
Unbelievably smooth with a citrusy finish — a month ago
This remains a very feminine styled wine (as I recall from a bottle a few years ago). Nose requires some time to unfold, but eventually shows lots of lively crushed granite, cracked black peppercorns, blackberry skins, and a slight cured meat note. Lean and medium-bodied in the mouth, with savory, minerally flavors and crisp acids. It’s light but flavorful, and seems to have plenty of life left. — 9 days ago
Nose has smoked & partially-dried plum, sliced cherries dredged in cocoa powder, faint baking spice, mashed black cherries, old cigar box and dried blackberries.
Palate has grilled plum, savory herbs, over-ripe blackberry, bittersweet chocolate chips, faint fire-roasted tomato and raspberry puree.
Decanted +3H, needs lots more time to uncoil. Medium to heavy tannins with a drying palate texture similar to eating a spoonful of cocoa powder, dry + chocolatey. A wall of tannins, if drinking this before 2026, decant at least 8-12H. — 4 days ago
