Spectacular tasting of estate Chardonnay at Hyde, the standout was the 2014, great weight and concentration with judicious oak well integrated and lean finish, pure joy! — 8 months ago
What a great find, plenty of character, weight and acidity to work all the way thru our meal. Will seek this one out again. — 9 months ago
Gorgeous summer peach aroma, great weight and texture, very full on the palate. Perfect with our Smoked Soft-shell Crab. — 3 months ago
What a joy with some beautiful French cheeses, caramel color, exotic aromas, great acidity and weight, long rich finish, what a layered wine, thanks Jeff for digging deep in your cellar. — 7 months ago
We were so impressed with this winery on our last trip to Oregon that we joined their program and loaded up on Pinot Noir and Chard for our cellar. This Chardonnay is outstanding, lovely pear aroma, rich without being cloying, beautifully integrated oak, lean mineral finish. We loved it with our peppery Gumbo Z’erbes last night. — 9 months ago
Pristine magnum, nose was restrained but all pure minerals and silky on the palate, great with our freshly foraged mushroom soup. Thanks Ed! — 10 months ago
What a treat to taste this mature Burgess Cab while visiting the “speakeasy” at their new winery. The bottle bouquet was of a bygone era in Napa with moderate alcohol and soft texture. It is a classic and great to see the owners pouring it proudly. — 5 months ago
What a treat to enjoy a perfectly aged Opus One with friends over dinner. The wine was gorgeous, great color, classic nose with black fruit and spice, lovely weight and texture with a long satisfying finish. I wish more people had a chance to taste this wine when it is at this age, outstanding! — 8 months ago
A gem from our cellar for my 60th, a great example of well made Oakville Cab aged well and really at a high point in its age, the texture was gorgeous, the pallet was complex, a beautiful wine. It tasted fantastic with our roast rack of veal. Thanks to my beautiful wife Lesley for this one. — 10 months ago

What a pleasant surprise from our cellar. The wine was still dark in color and in great shape. It had some bottle bouquet that blew off in a few minutes to reveal that legendary Martini aroma. The texture was silky and the flavor like ripe blackberry. This one was built for 20+ years of aging which paid off. Great to share with the Monte Rosso gang. — 3 months ago
