Coravin

Cascade Cliffs

Columbia Valley Barbera

The 2018 Barbera is nice and fruity. Cascade Cliffs has an abundance of Barberas to choose from (never an over-abundance😂). Just did a Coravin tasting of every Barbera I own, and the 2018 Blood Red Barbera from Horse Heaven Hills topped my palette, followed by the 2016 Horse Heaven Hills Barberas. — a month ago

Domaine Coche-Dury (J.F. Coche Dury)

Bourgogne Chardonnay 2012

Poured from Coravin. Classic meursault flavors of baked apple and hazelnuts. Great acidity. Drank alongside an 09 roulot Bourgogne blanc. This was richer and rounder. Terrific pairing with lobster — 2 months ago

Pull from Coravin so didn’t get to enjoy a complete bottle. But. This wine was bandaid and dried cherry and smoke. Really good. — 7 months ago

Drank 8/10/20. Excellent with a prime ribeye.

The second half of this bottle holding up nicely after the first was removed via Coravin 2 m ago. Very nice dark fruit profile, with ample, but well balanced tannins. See my previous review.

Very pale ruby lightly cloudy color. Almost seems like a Rosé. Very Pinot Noirish #Garnacha #Spain #spanishwine with Coravin it didn’t express all its nuances. Once uncorked it had fine red fruit and cedar and sweet smoke aromas and flavors. Interesting. — 2 months ago

Château Montrose

La Dame de Montrose Saint-Estèphe Red Bordeaux Blend 2016

My first time using my new Coravin. Fun toy. This is a beautiful, very drinkable wine, albeit a few years too young. It feels like it’s holding back a little though, almost like a powerful car that is confined to the speed limit. — 2 months ago

Vieux Château Certan

La Gravette de Certan Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend 2017

Day one is was good, day 2 (Coravin) it is bloody fantastic. Just a wine some Pomerol producers hope to make with their grand vin. — 3 months ago

Blackberries, meaty minerals, and cheesy socks. Big acid and almost hot but not in a bad way. Big big wine in great shape. Nose is slightly corked or would have rated higher. Nothing of the kind on the palate. Weird Coravin experience- when I pumped it the cork came about 1/3 of the way and the nozzle spit wine at me. Guess I’m killing the whole bottle tonight. — 4 months ago
