Opened and decanted 2.5 hours in advance of our inaugural Aglianco Osso Buco wine dinner here at the Gotham
Facing off against a range of Aglianco from Unti in Sonoma and Galardi in Campania
The Leonetti was the youngest of the 4 bottles yet had the most alluring combination of fruit and density. Definitely a crowd pleaser. Easy to drink with or without the food. — 13 days ago
Blue and black fruits. A lot of density and terroir. This took about 5 hours decanting and in the glass to fully open up.
Excellent pairing for steak. Robust wine that turned super smooth.
Went head to head with ‘15 Caymus SS and IMO beat it out handily. — 21 days ago
Gorgeous Pinot from sta rita hills Love the brightness and finesse of this wine — 2 days ago

Facing off against a range of Aglianco from Unti in Sonoma Leonetti in WA and Galardi 2010 in Campania
The 2007 Galardi came across with olives, gaminess and herbs in the nose but once tasted showed a certain finesse and smoothness that was great. This was right up there as the savory wine of the night. — 13 days ago
Super sweet and oaky on first open but matured up with a 3 hour decant
Still quite fruity but with steak, it gives a lot of red berry fruit and the oak is reasonable and the sweetness is gone with the airtime.
Overall good wine but I thought it lost out to the Paul Hobbs LPV ‘14. — 21 days ago
Wow. Decanted 3 hours before serving. From Magnum
This wine had great smoothness to it. Balsamic and savory flavors coupled with some dark cherry fruit flavors.
This wine really hit on all cylinders given the age. — 2 days ago

Facing off against a range of Aglianco from Unti in Sonoma, Leonetti in WA and Galardi 2007 in Campania
The 2010 Galardi was the most dense and as with the 2007, the fruit was minimal. Instead the flavor profile is herbs, green olives and incredible savory notes. It worked incredibly well with the osso buco and needed the richness to shine. This wine still had a bit of hard edges and could use more bottle age IMO — 13 days ago
Elegant. Touch of oak. Beautiful wine — 22 days ago
Joe DAscoli
Wine is incredibly dark and brooding. Very dense and heavy taste and texture right out of the bottle.
Drank over about 3 hours. Oxygen was this wines friend and the wine opened up quite a bit to reveal more bright and red fruit to complement the black fruit and density which also gave way as it breathed.
Not a blockbuster from a complexity perspective and lacked the punch of something special. But a solid oakville cab nonetheless and not too oaky. — 3 hours ago
