This wine needs a little bit of airtime to develop. Deep golden hue. The age gives it a bit of hotness that needs to blow off
My favorite part of this wine is the butterscotch richness. Unique and divine. — 7 days ago
Corked broke. Again. Constant issue with older Nickel wines and particularly this one
Thankfully wine was solid. Starts off quite juicy and plush.
With a little time and the right food pairing, it provides a little more grip and flavor.
For me - this took some caviar and salt to really get it going and then it was at another level. Rating is with caviar. Definitely 2-3 pts less without it. — 20 days ago
Began with a strong metallic taste
After some air time - mellowed into the expected wine. Good acidity. Nice lemon citrus flavor.
Has a roundness to it that speaks to the vineyard as if it had some oak but I don’t think it did.
Btw - Sigalas is only Santorini wine I drink. Visited them on my honeymoon. Fantastic place just a short walk down the hill from Oia.

Besides the waiter party foul of knocking a bottle over, this wine was solid.
Well liked by all. Very good structure and backbone to the wine.
Fruit was fairly dark and blackberry in nature. Nothing wild from a red or blue fruit perspective but good black fruit.
I find the quilt reserve to be a good find though a rare wine. — 23 days ago
Opened and decanted for 1 hour before tasting. Clean long cork that was soaked to the edge through.
Aromas of wild forest floor. As it opened, fruit began to emerge
This wine tasted delicious. I don’t even remember specific flavors. It was just very good and easy to drink while also having depth and structure to hold up to black pepper chicken thighs.
Hope my other bottles of this wine shine the same — 5 days ago
I thought this was solid and paired well with the moussaka for dinner
Really good acidity. Some raspberry flavor and earthy notes. Responded well to salt.

Juicy and pleasant. Good wine.
Nothing jumped out at me but seemed to have decent enough structure for steak night — 25 days ago
Thank goodness. No pre-ox on this wine. Have been burned by a lot of Williams selyem chards
But this wine had the dark golden hue yet no pre ox. Very fresh and gorgeous
Like the best WS chards - this tastes nothing like typical California Chardonnay and is more like a chateaunuef de pape Blanc
Fantastic melon and stone fruit flavors.
Minimal oak and a good acidity that gives you a bit of heat / alcohol but not too much.
Really enjoyed this wine with salmon and caviar. — a month ago
Joe DAscoli
Upon opening, this bottle smelled amazing. Ripe wild blueberry and pie like aromas.
First sip and the fruit is present, not quite as jammy as the smell and you get a lot more structure and depth. Some forest bramble and chewiness.
Overall - a steal from auction. Love that people under value the 2011’s — 4 days ago
