Not the best of vintage in Bdx, but the winemaker clearly pulled off some acrobatics here.
Nose displays the usual Cos spice-box signature, along with notes of forest floor, sage and mushrooms. Palate is rich and dense showing no signs of age. Nice mature casis profile links up with brambles and sandalwood. Tannins continue to prop up this outstanding example. — 16 days ago
This is a new vineyard designation for us, and we are not in raptures with it.
Lacks the typical Kistler depth and complexity that we have come to expect.
I hope we don’t have more of this lurking around. — 3 days ago
My research shows this varietal has German origins, and it shows since it displays hints of a Riesling. Tilts sweet with a nice playful sweetness. Primarily citrus fruits on the front palate, with hints of sherbet on the rear. Nice acidity has served to protect this from decline. Could go another 3 years at a push. — 4 days ago
Such a nice touch from Jason Moore (winemaker). Stunning without being OTT. Focused and pure blueberry jam with notes of dark roasted coffee. Pristine tannins keep this upright. Best product I’ve tasted from this producer.
My boys were impressed. — 16 days ago

This has stood still. Examplary in terms of presentation. Precise and laser focused macerated cherries with hints of espresso beans. Deftly balanced on the mid palate. Grainy tannins with hints of maple syrup bringing up the rear. Outstanding. — 3 days ago
Good golly, this example played chess on our senses on another level. Probably the wine of 2025 for us! — 4 days ago

Dense, extracted nose of cassis and burnt toast. Mid palate is pure and viscous with blueberry jam and brown sugar notes. Squeaky clean and burly tannins interplay with bright acidity. This still has 10 years + in the tank! Excellent example from an outstanding producer. — 2 days ago
