Syrah dialed to 11; nose is crazy concentrated brambles, smoke, meat, leather; palate intense blackberry, blueberry compote, loads of mineral, black pepper in the background; intensely structured. Obviously way too young; second day was 9.6+; I can’t wait to revisit in 5-10 years. Fantastic. @Lyle Fass — 19 days ago
Magnum format, was saving to drink with a good friend who lived around lake Como and introduced me to inferno docg. Look, this was a 9.1 nose, 8.8 palate to be honest. Had nice dried rose petal and light tar, strawberry aroma which intensified after an hour or so, and was delicate and refined; palate never caught up; light bodied with short finish; some shitaki mushroom and just fallen leaves; not much complexity on the palate. Rating inflated as we enjoyed it together with parmigianno, Comte, pecorino. Who cares, memories are a huge part of why I enjoy certain wines. — a month ago
This bottle is a bit closed right now, but man you can feel the quality of the fruit and the winemaking here. Beautiful cherry and raspberry, with a bit of spice, plus the earth and some very nice concentration. After 2 hours fresh mushroom and vibrant dark cherry, will revisit tomorrow. Can’t wait to see what it will look like in 2028. Great wine. Day 2 update; cherry and raspberry liqueur, more spice on the palate; 9.4 — a month ago
Pale lemon hue with aromas of elderflower, slight jasmine, lemon pith, fresh orange, apple, peach, a hint of smoke; palate of somewhat delicate lemon, peach, underripe melon, touch of honey; high acidity with slate, wet stone mineral. Very nice wine. Cheers to Stephanie and my local grocery store’s wine program for having this on the shelf. — 17 days ago
A vibrant lemon color in the glass. On the nose a powerful yet elegant deep lemon, tangerine and other mixed citrus, white and yellow flowers, lemon blossom, jasmine. On the palate the most beautiful tangerine, lemon and yuzu citrus. The most impressive, however, is the finish. Incredibly long, and evolves to a dried lemon/citrus rind that is very unique. I wonder with age if this dried character will become more in the forefront, which makes me very excited to revisit in 3-5 years. Outlasts many GG quality wines, and many times for me when Riesling has a lengthy finish there seems to be some phenolic bitterness, but this wine is pure. A triumph, and incredible value. @Lyle Fass — a month ago

Nicely aged Nebbiolo. Nose a combination of lifted fresh and dried roses, strawberry, hint of caramel, earthy mushroom compost. Slightly dusty. On the palate a nice, silky texture without rough tannic edges and a good dose of acidity. Strawberry, raspberry, sour cherry. Decent length. A nice pairing with homemade carbonara. — 3 days ago
