Nose is medium (+) intensity with primary aromas of blackcurrant, black cherry, blackberry and a primary note of eucalyptus and secondary notes of vanilla, cedar, and cloves and tertiary notes of game and leather. Dry, high acidity, high tans, medium alcohol, medium plus body, Medium plus flavour intensity. Primary flavours of blackcurrant, blackberry, black cherry, eucalyptus, dried cooked fruit and secondary notes of vanilla, oak, chocolate and tertiary notes of leather, and prune. Pale intensity and lemon colour in appearance. Medium plus intensity on the nose with aromas of tropical fruit including passionfruit, mango, and lychee, as well as wet stones and a hint of grass and green bell pepper. Youthful in its development. On the palette, sweetness is dry, acidity is medium plus to high, alcohol is medium and body is medium with a pronounced flavour intensity. Flavour characteristics include tropical fruit, more specifically mango, and citrus including lemon, green apple, citrus peel and grapefruit. The finish is medium plus and quality level is good. Nose – clean, medium (-) intensity, aromas of lemon peel, lime juice, wet stones, Steely/mineral notes, flint with stone fruit of peach, apricot. Youthful.
Palate – dry, medium +/high acidity, medium alcohol, medium body, medium flavour intensity, flavour characteristics of lemon zest, orange zest, grapefruit, lime juice, wet stones, flint, slate and green apple; finishes long.
Conclusions:
Quality level – outstanding.
Can drink now, but has potential for ageing
