Meaty, earthy and herbal with mushrooms, rosemary, pleasant brett and forest floor. Delicious but youthful--could mature beautifully. — 9 years ago
This wine displays a deep ruby to purple color with medium tears and body. A fruit forward nose of red berries and black cherries, also some dried rose petal and violet notes. Definitely a modern wine on the palate, deep fruit , pronounced oak, but some clean minerality that only northern Spain could produce. Nice tannins--could benefit from another year or two in the bottle. — 9 years ago
Nice off-dry style Vouvray. Cleansing acidity pleasantly offsets the slight residual sugar. White floral notes compliment honeyed pear and citrus flavors, all balanced by elegant minerality. — 9 years ago
A delightful surprise! Striking garnet color, with red fruit, dried herbs and spicy, earthy notes. Clean and not overly tannic on the palate, but rich and powerful enough to match a hearty Italian meal. — 9 years ago
Violets, mellow fruits and spice notes on the nose with a hint of herbaceous zest balanced by soft tannins on the palate. A great value and an agreeable food-pairing wine. — 9 years ago
An intriguing, elegant but unpretentious gem. Highly aromatic with violets, black and blue fruits, cracked pepper and soft leather. Tannins play artfully with bright, cleansing acidity. This wine is just a lovely expression of its region. http://blog.tedwardwines.com/2012/06/27/domaine-de-noire/ — 9 years ago
Tart green apple notes are tempered by clean chalk and mineral. Bright, focused acidity is refreshing, and typical of the region. Obviously an entry-level wine, but a good introduction to Chablis for the price. — 9 years ago
