Doesn’t taste at all like Pinot noir - if you like overly extracted styles and black cherry cola flavors this is your Pinot. Well made and the 2013 is probably still not at peak drinkability now in 2018. I liked this wine better on release when it was more restrained. — 6 years ago
Drinking wonderfully after a couple hours of air, typical big extracted Alban style — 10 years ago
Double decanted and let it breathe for an hour as it’s a bit young yet. Wonderful wine, red and black fruits with some minerality and grip. Excellent pairing with charcoal grilled beef. Approaching it’s prime I think. — 6 years ago

Classic old world style Sangiovese, the 2006 is really just now ready to drink and needed some air. This wine usually needs 8-10 years of age. — 10 years ago
Not nearly as rich and deep as more recent vintages and a but disappointing — 10 years ago
This is from the Fall 2018 release. I have had a previous release - this is a wonderful wine but if you get the newer release suggest laying it down a bit. It took about 1.5 hours to really open up and show it’s stuff. I’m going to be patient with the rest of my bottles. — 6 years ago
Earthy with dark fruit breaking through just like a Petite Sirah should be. Chappellet makes this consistently well. — 10 years ago
Superb Barolo that still needs some air despite the vintage. New world style that is dark and fruit driven. — 10 years ago

This wine is right in it’s prime although it will stay in that window for a few more years I think. Red fruits, spice and wonderful core of minerality, a benchmark wine for Cornas. — 6 years ago
