Correct but uninspiring Etna Rosso, lacks the vibrancy of the grape and the soil. Could have been made in many other regions for about half of the price. No terroir here. — 6 years ago

Just another vin nature. The natural wine movement prides itself in the ability of their wines to express their terroir. Most often, just like with this wine, they express vin nature. A slight hint of aceton, nothing of the vibrant fruit each of the nerello grapes is capable of giving. It does have depth, nice balance, but it could also be a bold version of a Beaujolais nature. So advocates of natural wine will love it. For me, please real wine! — 8 years ago

Barolo at its peak, fragrant, red fruit, spice and orange peel. Vibrant acidity, in spite of the warm vintage, no sign of over ripeness. Great bottle! — 9 years ago

Absolutely love this wine. Classic expression of Chianti, very complex fruit and spicyness. Despite being from a warmer vintage it has retained very alluring freshness. — 6 years ago

A wine from a producer I highly esteem. I have drunk his freisa and nebbiolo, which both were a hallmark of elegance. This dolcetto is the opposite, over extracted, alcoholic, a monotonous blackcurrant tone with a bitter finish. — 7 years ago

Very dull, ageing has made it soft, but not added any interesting smell or structure. No signs of aged Barolo or nebbiolo. Just softened old wine. — 9 years ago

Enjoyable glass of Brunello, ripe (fortunately not overripe) fruit, but lacks complexity — 6 years ago

Impressive concentration, nice evolutionary tones, but the sweetness (presumably of the oak barrel, or late date of he harvest) made me abandon the wine after the first glass. Second day, no improvement. No subtle Nebbiolo fruit at the core, no freshness. A wine to impress rather than enjoy. — 7 years ago

Another outstanding wine from the excellent 2012 vintage. Although slightly fresher than the warmer 2011 vintage, this wine offers also a lush Brunello style. Loads if fruit and spice, and a finish that goes on and on. Truly delicious now, will be even better in the coming years. — 8 years ago
