Pasote Tequila

Blanco

One of the best Blanco Tequilas out there. No additives nor made with a diffuser unlike your celebrity Tequilas that are so abundant nowadays. If you like tequila that doesn’t taste like tequila stick to syrup in a bottle known as Clase Azul which is the Caymus & Austin Hope of Tequila.👎🏼
Felipe is a master at making real Tequila

Sonoma-based August Sebastiani’s 3 Badge Beverage Corp. (the new name behind Kirk & Sweeney rums, Uncle Val’s gins, and others) has launched its first tequila: Pasote, which is made by Felipe Camerena in the Los Altos region of Jalisco.

Made in part with rainwater instead of just spring water, it’s made using traditional methods and bottled in antique-style glass. The reposado and anejo are aged in former, American oak bourbon barrels.

El Dorado

Special Reserve 15 Year Rum

National rum day.....waaahhhh, wine break.

Time for a Mai Tai...the original Trader Vic 1944 recipe...not those bastardized fruit juice/grenadine versions!

2 ounces good blended aged rums..I use 1 oz el Dorado 15 yrs and 1 oz 12 year Appelton estate
3/4 ounce fresh lime juice
1/4 ounce simple syrup
1/3 ounce orgeat syrup
1/2 ounce orange curacao

Combine all ingredients with 12 oz CRUSHED ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake and pour..garnish with a mint sprig AND ENJOY!!!!

Flor de Cana

25 Slow Aged Single Estate Rum

Have had the7 year old, the 12 year old, the 18 year but the first time for this 25 year old rum from Nicaragua. Quite dark in colour - probably showing the extra age in oak casks. Sooty caramel aromas that translate to the palate. Resinous and oh so smooth. The palate is so rich the alcohol heat is not apparent with a small block of ice. Love these Flor de Cana Rums - have an 18 year left in the cellar for the upcoming winter. — 5 years ago

Pyrat

Pyrat Cask 1623 Rum

Imagine the booziest, French glazed orange candies ever made and they were perfect. I’ve never had a rum display so much citrus fruit before. Tastes like it was aged in a Grand Marnier barrel but it wasn’t. A blend of rums from multiple pot stills aged over 40 years in French and American oak. I’m left wanting for nothing. Too bad this is unobtanium anymore. — 5 years ago

Bundaberg

Original U.P. Rum

This Queensland Rum from Bundaberg (which is Underproof UP) is more a commentary on a time and a place in ones life. In our 20s Bundy Rum and Coke was the go-to drink at Pubs and B & S (Bachelors and Spinsters) Balls out west. Many hangovers were installed after this stuff. This was more stalky and herbal and tannic (but still good) than the silky more supple West Indian and Central American rums we drink these days. I finished off half a bottle of Bundy neat and a little ice with 2 old mates on Saturday night. Great memories. This bottle commemorates 125 years of Bundaberg Rum. — 6 years ago
