Special Club Brut 1er Cru Champagne Blend 2008

a brief romance a year or so ago with 96 Cuvée Angeline and I was hooked on Lassalle. 2012 Special Club recently was way too young and it was recommended I try 2008. It tastes younger than 2012.

A faceful of citrus, it’s a very brash wine that hasn’t even reached adolescence. The fruit is clean and bright, the wine complex and long, but put it away for a decade.

Reserve California Pinot Noir 2022

not too dry and not too sweet - smelled like red fruits, in a deep red color
light tannins, minimal oakiness, not too acidic, very fruit forward (red fruits - strawberry, raspberry)
huge fan! red fruity notes + very smooth finish

Cachet Or Brut 1er Cru Champagne Blend

For the price it’s fabulous. Paid $23. Entry level Lassalle. Won’t make me think Cuvée Angeline but it’s good! — 2 years ago

Cuvée Angéline Brut 1er Cru Champagne Blend 2008

fortunately recently found a small supply for $55/b, less than release price, and it’s even more delicious due to that price. Just scrumptious crunchy bright yellow orchard fruit and citrus, not at all oxidative or yeasty, just lovely, fresh, and delicious. This is real bright and fresh. The 2011 wasn’t at this level, 96 was/is stupendous, and I’m hooked. I don’t know who Angeline is but I love her very much. — 3 years ago
