Fantastic at the price point. Rich, velvety, but definitely a Red Mountain Washington Cab. — 4 years ago
Day 2 of Napa in the books!
Our visit to Seavey was one of the best in terms of enjoying back vintage wines alongside current releases. Caravina is their “second” wine, but it shows very well. This ‘10 is drinking at its apex. Truffle, blackberry, leather, pepper and overripe red fruits. — 6 years ago
1996 vintage. Open but not decanted. Pretty serious sed. Tasted one hour after opening. A bit tight at that time, yet, the effort, quality and experience all up front and center. Still the best wine this property has ever made. Possibly 3-4 more years at this apex. A maggie would extend it to 5-8 years. Wow. Just wow. 8.2.24. — 3 months ago

Green and black pepper, stewed dark fruit, leather, and black tea. The 2007 is smooth and well blended, but may be on the backside of its aging apex, with a bit more oxidation and a bit less tart fruit and acid than I’ve tasted in the past. Still a great wine. — 5 years ago

Sipping Fine Wine
A blend of 50% Malbec, with rest Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Deep Ruby red color with aromas of fresh fruit, spice, cedar and herbs. On the palate flavors of blackberry, with licorice, pepper spice and herbs. Soft tannins, medium+ length ending with a sweet fruit, oak and herbal character. — 2 months ago
