CVed 1/24/18. Third wine to comp with first two. Have had this. Color actually lighter than others. Again nice stone fruits, minerals, tart peaches on nose. Vibrant and lithe on palate with softer texture than the others and a medium finish that's relatively less complex. Still a yummy wine ave great value at $15 or so. Opened 6/9/18! Went well with Korean takeout of seafood pancake, bulgogi, jaep char and Kalbi. Adaptability of such acidic and textured whites. — 8 years ago
Back to everyday wines Bordeaux CVed 11/13/17. JR wine. Floral earthy nose and great balanced palate and good finish. Good value at less than twenty. Opened 2/19/18. Nose has some oxidative resin sherry notes that's not bad but makes you wonder about CV (bit of cork stain from the CV). Still a lively ave good wine. — 9 years ago
From Vanderbilt Ave. Wine Merchants. Sweet apple juice, lemon merengue pie, absolutely crushable. One of the best wineries out there 🥧 — 2 years ago
Dark garnet-purple with a nose of black fruit, light earth and a touch of oak. In the mouth black plum, blackberry and mild acidity with clear tannins (but not too heavy). On the dry side- really nice and clearly a bigger Burgundy than the average. On April 30th at 490 West End Ave. — 3 years ago
Dinner at #25 Crestfield with Asian mild ribs. Paired well. Balanced profile of red berries and earth ave acids and medium length. More old world in style. — 7 years ago
nice acid. low tannins. plums. cherries. highly drinkable. buy again. from 7th ave. — 8 years ago
Opened by mistake thought had multiple but was vertical of single bottle of '00-'09. Ruby color with purple tinge. Nice nose of dark fruits and earth. Peppers and savory on the palate. Supple and silky texture. Medium finish. 75% Merlot then Cab Franc. Drinking nicely. Should comp with other vintages!
Curious ave CVed (1/17/18).'06. More earthy ave funk on nose. Good balanced and acidic texture on palate and not as silky. Good long finish. 8.9. Perhaps more food friendly due to acidity. — 8 years ago
