Light ruby with a narrower brighter rim , just hinting at garnet . More floral and lighter red fruit , with strawberry , raspberry and light red cherry , hints of red rose and cedar , slightly stony edge also, will need time to open up . On the palate this has quite a lot more acidity and gritty tannins, red cherry , raspberry , orange rind and a real freshness and elegance . Balanced alcohol and good cherry tinged length . Very balanced and elegant , also pretty young , needs a few more years to open . Probably better in a 5 years or so and will last well a further 5-10 . The most ethereal and poised of the Brunellis in this tasting . — 5 months ago

Medium ruby , slightly wider ruby, garnet rim . Slightly more closed and serious ,spiced cherries , menthol , liquorice and dried rosemary and thyme . On the palate this shows good red fruits , with raspberry , red cherry , spiced red plum , with dried herbs and a liquorice hint . Quite gritty tannins and fresh acidity , saline tinged finish of good length . This needs a little more time , better in 2-5 years and will show well a further 5 or so — 5 months ago

Quite similar colour to the Montosoli , with wider garnet rim than the Lume Spento . Quite dense and darker fruits , more plum , cherry and dried herbs, cedar . On the palate this has more density and extract , more tannin too . Darker fruits , dark cherry , plum , cedar and liquorice . More instense and structured than the others . Really quite intense and long on the palate . Again balanced fresh acidity , a more generous personality than the Montosoli perhaps , juicier , darker fruit. Needs another 5 years and will show well for a further 10-15. — 5 months ago

Nice but honestly was hoping for a bit more. Quite restrained, at 12.5% and somewhat muted aromatics and fruit. Lots of earth and a bit of tannin. Nice acid. Could have just been a bit more in general. — a year ago
