BIG!!! Intense purple color. Old vine (70 Years+) Tempranillo. Very fruit forward and almost New World in style. Aromas of ripe black fruit, violets, rose hips and vanilla. Same ripe black cherry/berry flavors with hints of dark chocolate and coffee. Spicy vanilla on the long finish. Silky tannins. Quite interesting. Even better the second day. Blackberry, blueberry and dark plum on the palate with additional notes of coffee, dark chocolate, dusty earth and tobacco. Long and lingering mineral laden finish. I really like this rioja blend. It it fruit forward with flavors of dark fruits such as plum and blackberry. Tannins not very high — a year ago
