So jammy on the nose, fruit bomb for sure. Blueberry, boysenberry, and blackberry bramble. Notes of charred wood and meat. A hint of eucalyptus. Nice spice. Medium acid, high alcohol and medium plus tannin. I think it would do well with a few years and a nice barbecued hunk of meat. — a month ago
Opened earlier in the day and double-decanted several hours prior to service; enjoyed over the course of three hours. The 1982 pours a deep garnet with a near opaque core. On the nose, the wine is developing (still!) and slightly green compared to the ’82 Mouton that was poured alongside. Cassis, purple Chewy SweeTarts, green bell pepper, old wood, some earth and baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry and has massive structure still. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and slightly bitter. Drink now with a long decant but there are decades of life left. — 21 days ago

This is my go-to wine after work or as a night cap. It is smooth and soft… so easy on the palate. Everyone loves this wine. — a month ago
Wine 1, with rack of lamb. As my drinking history shows, Raffault is a perennial favorite. 2017 is easy access with medium weight, wild red berry fruit, tomato leaf, and earth. Drink over the next five years. Holding ‘09, ‘14, ‘15, and ‘18 with patience. — 10 days ago
