Tastes like a Burgundy. Not a stellar Burgundy. But a Burgundy nonetheless. — a month ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple hours. The 2020 pours a deep ruby purple with a near opaque core and a magenta rim; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is youthful with notes of Montmorency cherry, tart plums, licorice, purple flowers, cocoa, and gravelly earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. Tasty stuff and a very nice pairing with braised short rib. Drink now through 2040. — 21 days ago

2022. We loved the 2020 vintage of this crisp saline white with oysters and I thought I would try the 2022 with a little heartier fare. It paired great with the sausage and white beans and the grilled chicken thighs with stewed summer vegetables. — 2 days ago
