This wine also has an earthy tone to its nose, but not as strong as Paco & Lalo. The citrus aromas come through nicely and are accompanied by a light floral bouquet. The palate is loaded with lemon and lime and the acidity is gentle enough to pair with something spicy. — 5 years ago

Produced by the Mauro winery in Castilla-León, a project of Mariano García, a winemaker known for being technical manager of Vega Sicilia for 30 years. A blend of Tempranillo with 5% Syrah and aged for 16 months in French oak. Ripe Berry fruits, powerful yet elegant, with spice & smoky notes on full, very tight, tannins. Lingering finish, nice mouthfeel, ending with mineral earthy tones, a joy to Sip!! Tasting great, has much more aging potential. Very Nice! — 7 years ago

Love it! Fragrant, spicy notes over a velvety chocolate. Fresh. Blueberry notes. — 9 years ago
Mid body and mid acidity. Fruity with a balanced earthy backbone. Interesting variety with special character. Nice surprise. — 4 years ago
An earthy nose masks the floral arrangement one expects. There are some herbal elements there, but more along savory lines. The palate shows apples, peaches and a shovel of the earth of Rías Baixas. Nice acidity and a pleasantly earthy finish cap a wonderfully different style for the region. — 5 years ago
Pale yellow. Lemon notes. Tart. — 7 years ago
Just getting started on this bottle. Garnacha that is fresh and crispy brings me to bliss. Spain should be a country we love more. Cycling, prosciutto, olives, wine, futbol, the Canary Islands, Paco de Lucia, Andrés Segovia, Charo, Seinfeld’s episode about the third tenor...”The Other Guy”. About to have some spicy bruschetta, then eat some pizza while listening to The New Gems. — 7 years ago
Lots of red fruit on the nose with some spice. Smooth with fine tannins and good body. Decent length without going overboard. A most agreeable wine. — 8 years ago

Very smooth Godello. Sweet on the nose, then a very light apple taste turning almost sour but balancing off cleanly for a very fresh finish. Leaves a very subtle nice after taste like the lightest cider ever. Easy to drink, interesting without being imposing — 3 years ago
Celebrando que hemos salido negativos. Mono paco mdel y yo. Un vino francés que me ha dado mi madre que está riquísimo no sabemos si es que llevamos encima 4 cervezas o que realmente está bueno. — 5 years ago
Very good, smooth, cherry and... well need to try another bottle to make a better description.

Just outside Mardid, in the Sierra del Gredos lies the Tumba del Rey Moro Vineyard. Until a few years ago, this site was almost impossible to access, until Fernando García & Dani Landi spent several months removing brush and overgrowth in order to be able to farm the 60-70 year old vines planted to the granite and quartz soils. This 100% Garnacha is simply gorgeous, with a incredible silky, polished texture, and the elegance and refinement that easily rivals some of the finest wines on the planet. Its characteristics of wild berries, floral, spices, earth and herbs are pure and focused. It continues to thoroughly impress with its wonderful precision and balance through the long finish. While this is certainly impressive now, in due time, this could be something very special. — 7 years ago
