From the South-Western slopes of Mount Etna, Sicily, here comes this Pinot Noir from a very old winery established there in 1875, now outside the conventional DOC. Nice red colors like any other high quality P.Noir, dry and vibrant tannins for a very young wine: time will reveal the underneath red fruits. Very good. — 11 years ago

A delicious, surprisingly savoury & structured Merlot from Lazio.
Dark plums, some blackberry & dark cherry character, but also an earthy, savoury underscore with some rocky notes, mocha, hints of roast.
Elegant & restrained on the palate with a good frame of polished tannins and juicy acidity. Very nice definition here and good substance.
Blind - a really good St. Emilion.
Sadly, priced equally high. — 2 years ago
