Deep Ruby color with aromas of dark fruits, flinty spice, floral and oak notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry, black cherry and plum with notes of espresso, cacao and licorice wrapped in oak. Tasty but pricey ($35, on sale for $30). Nose is dark fruit, black cherry, Raisin. Lots of cocoa, tobacco, and leather. Full bodied, very tannic, dry with slight balancing acidity to keep it drinkable. Great with food and pleasant on its own if you like beefy oaky wine. — 8 months ago
