Darkly floral, the 2022 Rosso di Montalcino opens with a blend of grilled herbs, exotic spices and steeped plums. It's a racy and fruit-forward effort with masses of ripe red and blue fruits swirling across a lively acidity stream. This tapers off with medium length and gently tannic, leaving a lovely resonance of inner rose. (Eric Guido, Vinous, September 2024)

Considered the star of the CdA lineup, and similar to their chiantis which all have some Merlot blended in, but this was too much Merlot for me - had that plasticity I don’t love — 2 months ago
Medium+ body, high acid, with notes of tart cherry, leather, baking spices, and tobacco. Paired great with Osso Buco. — 3 months ago

Medium ruby in color; cherries, tomato leaves, and tabacco on the nose; high acidity; medium tannins; tastes like red currants, raspberries, black paper, dried herbs, and clay pots with a long finish. I love this wine, but Nellie didn'tlike it. — 9 days ago
