What an incredible nose. Lifted limestone and lime with pear and a salinity. The slightly oily texture of CC but sophisticated and powerful and lifted. Still a baby but really delicious now. A monster, but a beautiful silky monster. Wow — 7 months ago
Light gold color, youthful appearance in the glass. Great CC nose with notes of citrus, ginger, reddish clay, wet stones and tan spice. Fruit still very present, matched against some fine-grained acidity. Awesome mouth feel. I know some of these can go south sooner rather than later, but this was right in the zone - youthful with plenty of energy. Great showing tonight. — 2 years ago
No formal notes just impressions this evening . This still comes across as really quite young and needs food to show well . Compared to the Il Campitello this is more rustic with higher acidity and grip, however there is good density of fruit here , with the pine resin , sweet red cherry notes turning to strawberry and raspberry with time in the glass . Good length and some grippy still and angular tannins . Needs food but is really an excellent CC. Just kept improving over the 5 hours it was in the glass . — 3 months ago
Popped and poured; DIAM cork. The 2015 Casa Emma CC pours a deep ruby color with a translucent but near opaque core with no obvious staining of the tears. Medium viscosity. On the nose, medium+ intensity with notes of super funky cherry (not Brett), dried herbs, porcini, menthol and cardamom. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Finish is medium and satisfying. Confirmed are the notes of cherry accompanied by dusty earth notes and orange bitters. Drink now and enjoy. — 3 years ago
2019 is a fantastic wine by @Ross Cobb - previous notes still apply. — 3 months ago
Exquisite CC. Aromas of red cherry, blueberry, cedar, balsamic, incense, and leather. Deep and layered. High acidity upon entry, then ripe candied fruits emerge. Lively full body. Soft yet assertive tannins.
Will need another 4-5 years to reach its full potential. — 4 months ago
Popped and poured, no formal notes. Day 1: a delicious, if not slightly reticent CC that worked quite well with a simple pasta marinara. Day 2: Beguiling. Tart cherries, dusty earth, orange zest, black tea and dried herbs. Could smell it from several feet away. Equally enchanting palate. Stout structure. Long finish with some real energy. A positively gorgeous wine that still has a long life ahead. Bravissimo. — 2 years ago

No formal notes just impressions this evening . Really elegant and precise , with lovely fine tannins and fresh yet balanced , refined acidity. The fruit here is a little darker than the basic CC , darker cherry , more spice and a little anise hint . Long and detailed on the palate , this is drinking surprisingly well , though will age gracefully over the next 10 years or so . Even though this is refined and elegant there is no lack of body or intensity here . Really lovely this evening . — 3 months ago
