Always a reliable red blend — 6 years ago
Takes 2 hours to open up but then cherry and soft tannins. — 7 years ago
Very good. Earthy with some pleasant funk. Reminded me a little bit of Clos de Trias Ventoux rouge. Took a bottle home as well. — 8 years ago
Oh my. This was the most purest drinking burgundy I have had in a very long time. This felt like the most beautiful wine that was running down my throat. My friend and I were absolutely in awe at the red fruits the freshness of the red cherries. No wonder it’s a premier cru. Amazing. Can’t wait to get another one — 5 months ago

The best Roero Arneis ever tasted. Complex and fresh. — 3 years ago
Leggermente più acido sarebbe perfetto. 16 anni portati bene — 6 years ago
Somewhere between an off-dry oloroso sherry and a dry Madeira, with loads of spiced stewed fruit and toasted walnut on the palate. Drier profile than expected on account of its great acidity and touch of balancing bitter tannin. Exquisite, long, oxidative finish. Paired wonderfully with lemon tumeric pound cake. — 6 years ago
A bit full and round for Beaune but a lovely drink — 6 years ago
What an amazing blend! This is a strong, funky wine that slaps you right in the face! Bright purple/magenta, sediment, lots of viscosity, powerful nose sees ripe cherries, oak, vanilla, cured meats, palette sees bright ripe cherries, lots of acid, medium+ tannins, high alcohol finish. This is an extreme, untamed, wild wine in every sense. Enjoyable, invigorating! — 8 years ago
After hearing of Arnaldo’s passing today, we decided to have a bottle of the 25th anniversary bottle. This is really a great wine for such a difficult grape…a masterpiece. Dark ruby red with aromas of dark cherry, blueberry, plum, tobacco, and stew fruits. On the bud, it luscious and smooth. The tannins are present, but just right. The finish is long. Cherry, licorice, and stewed fruit flavor. — 5 months ago
Good value for a 10 year Barolo. Traditional style. Spicy and dense floral on nose. Spice, leather, tar, tobacco dark cherry, blackberry and graphite on the palate. Lingering tannins at the finish. Approachable on opening but best after 2 hours slow ox. — 2 years ago
Lighter color and body but surprisingly large tannins and flavors. Aromas of ripe plums, dark cherries and leather. Ripe cherry and Dr. Pepper flavors with some tobacco notes. Powerful with bracing acidity. Long finish with lots of tannin. Solid! Nicely aged. — 5 years ago
Bold flavor. Tart nose. Would be good with pasta dinner. — 6 years ago
You and Liz liked this one quite a bit. Soft and light, then a nice mouth feel of tannins. Fruit but not too much. — 6 years ago
