Château Châlon light. Powerfull on the sous voile characteristics (curry, nuts and cheese, it has been aged under a veil for 2,5years) but surprisingly easy and light on the palate. Wine of great finesse! Wonderful. Big part of the cuvée is made out of Chardonnay. It was hard to get my hands on one, but it was worth the wait. Thanks @Jiri Brandt for swapping a bottle. — 9 years ago

This Chateau Chalon 1945 was perhaps slightly more open than I would’ve liked, though with 36 month Comté, I was enthusiastically impressed. Grateful for such invincible wines. Waxy, toffee, cocoa, tea, brown butterscotch. — 6 years ago
