For our reception, I packed a magnum of this in 2007 into my suitcase.. Same as it was that night, it is tonight. Every 750ml I/we have had since then has better than the magnum I brought. The magnum was good, but a touch broken down. This is in amazing shape. Storage is everything w/ wine of this age.
The nose was straight up brighter, aged fruit profile with mushrooms, sweetened led pencil & barnyard. Beautiful. Classic 80’s seminole Bordeaux. 48 years from inception & 46 years in bottle, amazing.
Happy anniversary Sofia! ❤️ you endlessly!
This is a perfect example of why I love Bordeaux. — 4 months ago
Highlight of the night! And a surprise to some degree. I kind off had given up on Lynch Bages. Given the high price, to me, the 2015 and 2016 were below expectation. But, boy, this 2018 rung all bells. Super concentrated, layers of evolving dark cherry, blueberry, current flavors and a superb balanced finish. All one could wish for. — 10 days ago

Dark cherries. A little organic bark. Black pepper and cassis. Subtle minerals. — 5 months ago
Nice spice to the nose. Oak on the front with cassia and red fruit, med+ acidity, high grippy tannins, full body blackcurrant on the back. Gravelly minerality but smooth. It's good, but I think I still prefer right bank Bordeaux's lol. — 7 days ago

Ah so nice to find a ‘15 vintage. This is classic Bordeaux, a little leathery and earthy, and cassis notes on the finish. I love it. — a month ago

2022 vintage. Another good effort from this Pauillac that was an underachiever for many years, but it is definitely not in the same league as the excellent 2020. Good concentration, and ripe, slightly jammy fruit. While the oak is perfectly integrated, it is too toasted for my taste. If you like that, you will score this higher. Abv. 14,5%. Totally blown away by the extraordinary Gloria 2022 tasted alongside. — 3 days ago
